Regular meeting opened at 7:00

Public comments: None
 
Motion by Jelinek supported by Osburn to accept the minutes of May 12 with correction. 
Motion carried.

Treasurer's report stands as read.

Motion by Cummings supported by Osburn to pay Township bills totaling $31355.23
Motion carried.

Correspondence was read.

Department reports:
Ambulance: 33

Assessor: Sales/Splits       1/1 (under review)

Building/ Mechanical:  8/1 
Ed Carpenter, Building Inspector, has asked boards approval to seek legal council, if 
necessary, on the McWethy property 
Motion by Cummings supported by LaLone to allow the Building Inspector to seek Attorney 
Dienes' council if needed.  Roll call

Fire: April 1    May 2
Fire Chief reported that the firefighters have had their physicals to meet all requirements 
and on the upgrades to the building that the doors and windows are about 2 weeks out.

Parks & Recreation- Motion by Jelinek supported by Cummings to adopt Ordinance #45 for 
Parks & Recreation. Roll call
Ayes: Sittig, Osburn, LaLone, Jelinek, Cummings
Nays: None
Motion carried.

Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to have an all weather sign made and installed with 
the rules and regulations put on the park property. Motion carried.

Planning: Public hearing is set for June 24th at 7:00 for the Zoning Ordinance. The legal 
advertising has been met.
 Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to allow the Planning Commission members to attend 
the training at Chikaming Township in August at a cost of $187.50.

Police: Complaints/Citations:  42/12

Industrial Park- Nothing to report on Schwark Drain. A letter was received from Dan Fette 
as to the steps the Ingenerio Company would need to follow to change the Berrien County 
Solid Waste Plan.

The audit was review and reported that everything looks good.

Motion by Sittig supported by Cummings to reappoint Dave Thomas, Les Klute, and Brian 
Sokolowski to the Construction Board of Appeals for a 2-year term. Motion carried.

George Mangold asked whether or not there was any training provided for the Appeals Board.

The Berrien County Assessing program is being changed therefore they are requiring 
Townships to have an appraisal system. Shalice Northrop was present to explain how she 
would help the assessor enter all data and training into a new BS&A Assessing Program.
Motion by Jelinek supported by Sittig to purchase the Program and update the memory in 
the assessors computer. Roll call.
