Three Oaks Township Regular Meeting May 12, 2008 Present: Sittig, LaLone, Osburn, Jelinek Absent: Cummings Regular meeting opened at 7:00 Public comments: Phil Smith informed the board about the project he and others are working on for the Industrial Park. He stated that they would be interested in purchasing the property and would put a 400- 500 sq. ft building up and would create 100 jobs. They would pay for the Schwark Drain project and infrastructure. Some of the incentives would be tax abatement, green energy, and produce electric or bio diesel. The company is a General Corporation and has been working with Sharon Tyler on this project. Motion by Sittig supported by Jelinek to accept the minutes of April 14 with spelling correction. Motion carried. Motion by Sittig supported by Osburn to accept minutes from April 30 th special meeting. Motion carried. Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to accept minutes from May 7 th special meeting. Motion carried. Treasurer's report stands as read. Motion by LaLone supported by Osburn to pay Township bills totaling $39831.49 Motion carried. Correspondence was read. Department reports: Ambulance: No report available Assessor: Sales/Splits 1(transfer)/1 (under review) Building/ Mechanical: 7/1 Fire: No report available Parks & Recreation- The grant for Spring Creek School House will be considered at the June meeting Planning: the preliminary draft of the Zoning Ordinance was received there are still 8 issues to fine-tune it. The final will be ready by May 27 meeting so the public hearing can be set for June Police: Complaints/Citations: 54/23 Industrial Park- The board was interested in hearing more about the company Phil Smith spoke of in the public comments The agreement with the library to repay loans from the township was amended to read the repayment date to be September 1st instead of April 1st. Motion by Jelinek supported by Osburn to approve the agreement. Motion carried. The audit report was received from Campbell and Kusterer, we received a good report. Two change orders were presented to the board for the Fire Station work. Motion by Jelinek supported by Osburn to approve both change orders. No Final Public Comments.
