Public comment

Chris Siebenmark questioned clerk as to why the Fire Department was not paid by the Village 
and why that was not relayed to the council

Trustee Jelinek asked about qtrly reports

Motion by LaLone supported by Osburn to approve September 8th meeting minutes w/spelling 
correction. Motion carried.

Motion by Sittig supported by LaLone to approve minutes for September 17th special meeting. 
Motion carried.

Treasurers report stands

Motion by Sittig supported by Osburn to pay bills totaling $31260.51. Motion carried.

Department reports:
Ambulance: 45            Assessor sales/splits      0/1 still under review
Fire: 3               Bldg/Mech:  9/1
Fire Chief Flick introduced Jeff Moses to the council for a presentation on the new grass 
rig being proposed for purchase. Jeff explained how the truck would be equipped and that 
it would take 3-4 months to build. The total cost would be $92,883.25.
Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to purchase the truck with the funds from the 
township emergency fund and the overage to come from proposed Pokagon Fund when received.

Parks/Recreation: Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to join the Southwest Michigan Land 
Conservancy to apply for grants for signage and maintenance.

Planning: George Mangold said that the Planning Commission unanimously requests the board 
approve the Zoning Ordinance as presented.
Motion by LaLone supported by Osburn to approve the Three Oaks Township Zoning Ordinance.

Police: Complaints/ Citations    69/19
Trustee Jelinek commented that she was unhappy with the coverage in the Township as the 
officers are traveling too fast down the roads to even see any problems.ie break-ins

Industrial Park: Schwark Drain-MI DEQ has approved the project
No final plan has been presented- a summary of the plan has been sent to the Pokagon Fund

Update on road work from county- Olive Branch is completed, Ray is close to completion then 
Starr will be next

Millage rates for Headlee rollback.
Motion by Jelinek supported by LaLone to adopt the 2008 millages which are roads@.3796, 
Twp@.7622, Library@1.5000. Roll call
Ayes: Sittig, Cummings, Osburn, LaLone, Jelinek

A request for a Commercial Rehabilitation District has been presented and a Public Hearing 
has been set for Oct 29th at 10:00AM. The board requests a set of complete details before 
the hearing.

Final comments; Treasurer Osburn stated that no intent to withhold the fire check on her or 
the clerks part
Trustee Jelinek wants auditor contacted to perform a new audit
