Motion carried. Treasurer's report stands Motion by Block supported by Sittig to pay bills totaling $101,117.76. Motion carried. Correspondence: Department reports: Ambulance: No report Assessor sales/splits 1/0 Fire: 3 Bldg/Mech: 8/0 Parks/Recreation: the 5 year plan expires in December 2010 Planning: George Mangold stated that they will be meeting Oct. 27th for a public hearing on a Zoning Change request, he also stated the Planning Commission is looking at forming an informational committee consisting of 3 Village Planning Commission members and 3 Township Planning Commission members and 3 residents for plans for the Industrial Park. Three Oaks Village Police: Complaints/ Citations 143/8 Sheriffs Dept: No report Industrial Park: complaint was filed by Attorney Baukham on the Townships behalf against Berrien County Drain Commissioner Roger Zielke for the Schwark Drain project, a pretrial conference will be held on October 19, a meeting with Roger Zielke will be held at the Village Hall at 10am Monday. The Village is reviewing the water ordinance. The Forest Lawn Landfill's attorneys are working on the land split for the property being donated to the Township 1 bid was received for the International Fire Truck for $1001.00 from Gemini Landscaping. Motion by Sittig supported by Mitchell to accept the bid. Roll call Ayes: Mitchell, Osburn. Cummings, Sittig, Block Motion carried Motion by Mitchell supported by Cummings to adopt the Millage Rates at Library 1.5000, Roads .3796 and General Operation .7622. Roll call Ayes: Sittig, Cummings, Block, Mitchell, Osburn Motion carried The Police and Fire Agreements with the Village are expiring in December 2009. The Township would like to use the former agreements as a basis eliminating the inflation clause and making them a 3 year term. The Township has filed a grant with the Pokagon Fund for the remodel of the Fire Station and the purchase of the new truck. Motion by Sittig supported by Block to pay the Berrien County Road Commission bill for $64,957.18 with $31,00.00 from the Roads & Bridges Fund and the rest from the $113,097.55 check received from the Pokagon Fund for 2007. Roll call Ayes: Block, Cummings, Sittig, Osburn, Mitchell Clerk Cummings asked the board's approval to host a potluck Holiday Luncheon December 10th from 12-3. Cummings will find a location to hold the luncheon and send out invites. No monies will come from the Township. It will all be volunteered. Board approved Clerk Cummings asked the board's approval to get pricing on a color copier for the hall. Board approved.
