Three Oaks Township Planning Commission
Public Hearing
Tuesday, March 27, 2007

The Three Oaks Township Planning Commission conducted a Public Hearing to hear public 
comment regarding a Special Land Use Permit from Jason & April Flick, 7834 W. Martin Road, 
Property Code #11-20-0021-0015-01-1, requesting a Special Land Use Permit for the purpose 
of housing horses/ponies for their own personal pleasure on their three acre parcel.   
Chair Snyder welcomed those in attendance and asked that they sign the attendance sheet. 
(see attached)  Ms. Snyder opened the Public Hearing at 7:00 pm.  Ms. Snyder read the 
notice of Public Hearing as published and amended the request changing the application 
from requesting a "variance" to a "Renewable One year Special Land Use Permit" as allowed 
in Section 6.06 of the Three Oaks Township Zoning Ordinance for parcels under ten acres 
in a Residential/Agriculture District.

April Flick presented the request stating their desire to have horses on their property 
for their own personal use and for their children to ride.  April Flick commented that 
they have been planning on this for over a year and are now ready to take on this 
responsibility.  Their plans are to start out with a couple of horses so they would 
have one for the children to share and would then consider purchasing a third if they 
really got interested in horseback riding.

With no further public comment, Ms. Snyder closed the Public Hearing at 7:10 pm.
